URA Master Plan and Transformations

There are several upcoming developments for the Woodlands region that will add to the vibrancy of the neighbourhood and even improve capital appreciation and rental opportunities for residential properties in the precinct.

1. New economic developments at Woodlands Regional Centre
Woodlands Regional Centre will be developed into a new space for business, industry, research & development, and learning & innovation over 100 hectares of developable land in the next 15 years. Besides connecting Singapore and Johor Bahru, the centre also serves as the base for the Northern Agri-Tech and Food Corridor which links the future Agri-Food Innovation Park and Woodlands Regional Centre with synergistic elements of the ecosystem such as farms, Republic Polytechnic and the Senoko Food Zone in the North.

2. New Business and Recreational Spaces
Besides the Woodlands Regional Centre, URA will incorporate more mixed-use developments such as the Woodlands North Coast, Woods Square and Woodlands Avenue 2 for commercial and retail developments. Residents in the region can bring work and play closer to home.

3. New Spaces for Active Lifestyles
Many new amenities, including two key pedestrian thoroughfares, public spaces and an extensive network of convenient connections for pedestrians and cyclists will be introduced at WoodsVista Gallery & North Coast Vista.

4. Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link
The future RTS Link slated to complete in 2026 promises to serve up to 10,000 commuters between Singapore and Johor daily. This alleviates the longstanding traffic congestion at the Causeway and further improves economic activities in Singapore, attracts more investors and generates job opportunities.
